Whale watching from Watamu Marine Park
Humpback whales travel this coast in the cooler months. A whale watching day leaves from Watamu, stays with a licensed captain, and keeps lunch on the boat so you can remain on the water while the animals are active. Sightings are wildlife, not a show, so we plan the day around sea conditions rather than a fixed clock.
The same package is offered in two ways. A private boat is for a group that wants the whole boat. A joining trip is for guests who want to share a boat and pay per person. Both include lunch on board. The maximum on one boat is six people.

Joining trip prices
Joining prices drop as the group on your reservation grows, up to six guests on one boat. Groups larger than six are split across extra boats and the quote updates automatically.

Use the calculator to choose a joining trip or a private boat, the number of people, and a preferred date. The next step is a short form for your name, phone and email. This is a reservation, not an instant payment.
A joining trip asks you to stay flexible within that week so we can confirm a boat day that works. After you submit, we get back within 24 hours. If the trip is confirmed, we send a payment link with the details. You do not pay until that confirmation arrives.
